My Success Story With Kennard Chiropractic

In a day where insurance companies have turned most doctors into automatons, Dr. Ross Kennard is a much needed breath of fresh air.  Rarely, in my over 40 years of doctors' appointments, have I come across anyone so dedicated to the health and welfare of his patients.  He speaks healing, lives healing, and provides healing.  He doesn't hurry his patients through their appointments in an effort to get to the next patient/dollar.  He is more concerned about his patients' health and welfare, but somehow it is still rare that you wait for him.  It is because of this that I drive a total of 1 hour out of my way, in bad traffic, just to see him.  Why?  Here is my story.

I won a free massage.  Little did I know that a simple massage would turn into a life changing experience.  When I met him I liked him immediately and liked what he had to offer.  I decided that my goal would be to try and alleviate my lower back pain, something I'd had for years.  What I didn't know is that I would be given so much more.  In the weeks that I have been with him he has lessened my lower back pain till it is almost not worth discussing.  It lingered though, and I finally realized that it was because my new bed was defective and I was sleeping in a hole.  Dr. Kennard even helped with this, by giving me suggestions on how to alleviate my pain by adjusting the bed.  Most other doctors wouldn't have done that. Doctor Kennard however, is a different kind of doctor.  He has suggested Yoga to me and given me the name of a good book to use.  He offered assistance and coaching with my diet (as in eating to be healthy).  His patients' best needs are truly his focus.  He exudes caring.

That was just the beginning though.  During the course of treatment I told him that my TMJ problems had my jaw out of line and that it was now crooked.  He fixed it … immediately, no muss, no fuss.  But that's not the dramatic part…

I knew at the onset that I had poor posture but I was horrified when I saw the pictures he took when I first came in.  They were ghastly.  My posture was that of a very hunched over old lady.  All I needed was a cane, gray hair, some wrinkles and age spots, and I might have been able to get age discounts.  Now that I know how this looks I am shocked when I slip into the old (pun intended) me.

At some point during his work on me he noticed that the entire area between my shoulder blades was locked up tight.  He determined that it was involved with my "stooping" difficulty.  I confirmed that it was a continuous problem and that I would sit in a chair and twist to try and release to alleviate the pain.  Frankly, though I thought that pain and tightness would be with me forever.  It never even occurred to me that there could be relief.  When Dr. Kennard first started working on that area it was like a steel plate that didn't move… at all.  Gradually it began to move ever so slightly, and with a lot of work and patience, it was released.  I was released.

He has worked long and hard with me on my posture in ways that no ordinary doctor would even attempt.  Even though it was not the condition I stated needing help with at the onset, he treated me for it.  Now, striving for my better posture to be automatic, I feel more confident and self-assured.  I feel stronger.  Who would have thought that a Chiropractor would help with not only with posture but also ones feelings about themselves? This was the most dramatic transformation that he initiated.  It was more than a visual change, it went deeper than that.  The real miracle that so quietly crept into my life is that things were now changing on a cellular level.  I was beginning to open up, find new confidence, and face some old demons.  A few disks released from bondage have released me from the bondage of some of those old demons and brought about changes in my life beyond my wildest dreams.  I cannot thank him enough.

Sometimes miracles creep ever so quietly into our awareness that we don't see them happening.  Sometimes we don't even see them and we give up.  There is a saying, "Wait for the Miracle."  Well, I did.  I was just blessed enough, just lucky enough to end up in the hands of Dr. Kennard to experience my own miracle.  When I think of all of the things that he has done for me, tears well up in my eyes. Thank you, Dr. Kennard, for passing on the miracles and changing my life. ~ A truly grateful patient, Julie Roberts

Other Success Stories

“Before seeing Dr. Kennard I did not believe in Chiropractors.  My husband told me to just try it before they wanted to operate on my spine.  Thank God I listened to my husband, as after the first 2 weeks of treatments I felt a lot of relief.  Dr.  Kennard has done wonders for me and my posture.  I will probably see Dr. Kennard on a regular basis the rest of my life.  Thank you Dr. Kennard and all of the Staff for making me a believer.”   Tammy S.

“When I first started my treatment with Dr. Kennard in July 2006, I had been suffering from daily low back pain for two years.  Then, one morning, I woke up with severe neck pain which was not resolved with OTC anti-inflammatory medication over the next few days.  I called the office and was scheduled for an appointment that afternoon.  Within three days my neck was pain free.  I continued visits three times a week for the low back pain and am now only being treated once a week.  I was able to stop taking the twice a day doses of pain medication.  I can’t stress enough how important adhering to the treatment plan was in my recovery.  I feel that the combination of Dr. Kennard’s skill, frequency of visits in those early weeks and the regiment of exercises that I was given have all gotten me to the pain free status I am at now.”  Carole B.

“After living with chronic back pain for over 20 years I thought that it was time to start looking for a good orthopedic surgeon. My back was controlling my life and I could no longer enjoy daily activities, of which one is working in my garden. ”    K. Nee

“Approximately 2 years ago, I woke to such debilitating lower back pain I could not even walk.  My doctor suggested physical therapy with which I followed through for about 4 months.  Almost a year later, I had a relapse and was back in for 3 months of physical therapy.  The results were always short lived.  A co-worker recommended Dr. Kennard and, at that point, I thought I had nothing to lose.  I began treatment approximately 10 months ago starting with visits 3 times a week.  I am currently seeing Dr. Kennard once a month mostly for preventative and maintenance purposes.  It has been a long journey to recovery since my initial pain 2 years ago but coming to Dr. Kennard was the answer for me.  It has been a long time since my back has felt consistently pain free and I’m very grateful!  Thank you for everything!”   J.
